The Civic Museum located in Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi was built in 1828, housed in the former convent of the Franciscan friars, is one of the oldest in Veneto. It currently houses the largest existing collection in the world of the works of the master Jacopo Da Ponte, supplemented by extensive documentation of the activity of his workshop. A large section is dedicated to Antonio Canova who collects three thousand autographed drawings, the correspondence, the library, the sketches, numerous plaster casts and the unique series of monochromes, the maximum expression of his artistic creativity. Furthermore, since 2014 the Civic Museum has hosted the new Civic Gallery intended for temporary exhibitions as well as a specific area intended for museum teaching.

Every day from 10:00 to 19:00 Closed on Tuesdays, January 1st, Easter and December 25th.
Extraordinary opening on public holidays.
The ticket office closes half an hour earlier than the Museum closing time.
